§ 110-32. Initiation of programs without petition.

  • The special improvement programs enumerated in this article may be initiated by the board of county commissioners at any time without the filing of the petition provided for in section 110-31. Such action shall be evidenced by an initial resolution ordering the construction of the improvement and describing the property bounding or abutting the improvement or otherwise specially benefited thereby. The resolution shall state the nature and location of the improvement together with that portion of the cost thereof to be assessed against the benefited property and that portion, if any, to be paid by the county. All assessments levied pursuant to this section shall be levied and collected pursuant to the Uniform Method of Collection prescribed by F.S. ch. 197.
